Sound Forum, Amsterdam

On July 25 we'll have the third edition of Sound Forum, a Spoken Magazine about Composition. Sound Forum is held on a monthly basis, with composers presenting talks about things that are important to their composing. Sound Forum is intended for composers, musicians, and everybody who'd like to know what's happening among composers. In this second edition two composers will present their theatrical ideas of instrumentation and form. Martijn Voorvelt will talk about his series of simultaneous pieces - pieces for chamber ensembles that consist of superimposed pieces for sub-ensembles - and Cecilia Arditto will talk about a chamber opera she is writing at the moment. There will be a forum after the presentations.
